Account & License

Your Stealth account manages your subscription, device activations, and license sharing. Access your account information by clicking the user icon in the Settings panel header.

Viewing Your Account

The Account panel displays your subscription details:

License CodeYour unique license key for activating Stealth (with copy button)
Subscription StatusCurrent license state (Active or Inactive)
Devices UsedHow many devices are using your license
Last Check-inWhen your license was last verified
Device IDUnique identifier for this specific installation

License Sharing

Your Stealth license can be shared with family members or used on multiple personal devices. To share access, simply click the copy icon button next to your license code and send it to the person you want to share with.

They can then install Stealth on their device and enter your license code during activation. Each device counts against your plan's device limit.

Note: Your license code is like a password. Only share it with people you trust. All devices using your license share the same subscription.

Device Management

Your subscription includes a specific number of device activations. When you reach this limit, you'll need to remove devices before adding new ones.

To free up a device slot:

  1. Uninstall Stealth from a device you no longer use
  2. Or contact support to reset your device registrations

If you're replacing a computer, you don't need to deactivate first. Simply install Stealth on the new device. Old devices that haven't checked in for extended periods may be automatically released.

License Status

Your license status shows whether your device is currently activated and your license is valid:

Active - Your device is activated and your license is valid. Full access to all features.

Inactive - Your device is not activated or your license is invalid. You'll need to activate your device or enter a valid license code.

If your license has an expiration date and it has passed, the license will show as invalid. If your license has been deactivated by an administrator, it will also show as invalid.

Refreshing Your Status

Click Refresh Status to sync with the license server. This is useful if:

  • You recently renewed and the status hasn't updated
  • Your status shows incorrectly after being offline
  • You've made changes to your subscription

Stealth automatically checks license status periodically, but manual refresh ensures you see the latest information immediately.

Activating Your Device

If your device shows as Inactive:

  1. Open the Account panel
  2. Click Reactivate if the button is visible
  3. Or enter your license code again during startup
  4. Your device will be activated automatically

If your license has expired or been deactivated, you'll need to obtain a new license code or contact support to reactivate your existing license.

Copying Your License Code

To copy your license for sharing or backup:

  1. Open the Account panel by clicking the user icon in the Settings header
  2. Locate the License Code field
  3. Click the copy icon button next to the code
  4. The license is now in your clipboard

Store a copy of your license key somewhere safe. While it's always available in the Account panel, having a backup ensures you can reactivate if needed.

Security

Your license key should be treated like a password:

  • Only share with people you trust
  • Don't post it publicly online
  • Contact support if you believe it's been compromised
  • Unusual activity may trigger a security review

If you suspect unauthorized use of your license, contact support immediately. We can revoke compromised keys and issue replacements.
