Blocking Active

Spam calls are intercepted by Android's Call Screening / Phone state path. On modern devices the call is dismissed before the screen lights up; on older Android versions it may ring once before being rejected.

Automatically block 3.3M+ known spam numbers from FCC Consumer Complaints.

Custom Block List

Manually add specific phone numbers to block. Numbers are normalized to 10-digit US format for matching; wildcards and area-code patterns are not used.

Block Unknown

Block calls from numbers not in your contacts. Stops telemarketers.

Block Private

Block calls with caller ID hidden. Stops scammers hiding their numbers.

Blocking Numbers

From Call Log

Tap any number in Call Log tab, select "Block Number". Added to block list immediately.

Manual Entry

Tap + button, enter phone number or pattern, add to block list.

Patterns

Block with wildcards: entire area codes, number ranges, or patterns.

Pro Tip: Add important contacts (doctors, family, work) to whitelist to ensure they're never accidentally blocked.

Status

The main screen surfaces the blocker's current status: whether the blocker is enabled, the size of the synced number list, the time of the last sync, and the count of blocked attempts that show up in the history tab.

Troubleshooting

Calls Not Blocked

  • Verify Call Blocker enabled
  • Check permissions granted
  • Ensure number in block list
  • Check if number in whitelist

Can't Grant Permissions

  • Go to Settings → Apps → Stealth → Permissions
  • Manually grant Phone and Call Log
  • Restart Stealth app
  • Some devices need additional setup

Sync Not Working

  • Check internet connection
  • Try manual sync
  • Check sync status for errors
  • Wait and try again later

Important Calls Blocked

  • Add number to whitelist
  • Check "Block Unknown" setting
  • Review block list for number
  • Disable "Block Unknown" if too aggressive
