Getting Started
Open StealthChat - your Device ID is shown at the top. Tap to copy it.
Tap "+" and enter someone's Device ID to add them as a contact
Tap a contact, type your message, and send - fully encrypted
Key Features
End-to-End Encryption
Messages encrypted before leaving your device. Only the recipient can decrypt. Even Stealth servers can't read your messages.
Real-Time Messaging
Messages delivered instantly when both devices are online. Read receipts show delivery and read status.
Media Sharing
Share photos, videos, and files. All media is encrypted before sending and decrypted on recipient's device.
Group Chats
Create rooms with multiple participants. Persistent group chats with member management.
Chat Commands
StealthChat supports special commands for enhanced functionality:
Whisper Messages
Send private messages within group chats that only the recipient can see:
In a group chat, type /w [nickname] [message]
Hit send - only you and the recipient see the message
Use /r [message] to reply to the last whisper you received
Checkers Game
Play checkers directly in the chat with any contact:
Type /checkers or tap the checkers button in the chat
Your contact receives an invite and can accept or decline
Tap pieces to move them. Game state syncs in real-time between both players
Group Chats (Rooms)
Create Room
Tap "Create Room", enter name, add participants by Device ID. Rooms persist even when members are offline.
Join Room
Tap "Join Room" and enter the room ID to join an existing group chat.
Room Settings
Customize room settings, manage members, and configure room-specific options.
Admin Controls
Room admins can manage members, change settings, and moderate the chat.

What You Can Do
Contact Management
Nicknames
Long-press a contact, select "Edit Contact", and set a nickname for easier identification.
Block Contacts
Long-press a contact and select "Block Contact". Blocked contacts can't message you.
Unread Badges
Number badges show unread message count. "9+" appears if more than 9 unread.
Device ID Sharing
Your Device ID is at the top of contacts screen. Tap to copy and share with others.
Security
Military-Grade Encryption
Messages encrypted before leaving your device using industry-standard cryptography.
Zero Server Access
Stealth servers cannot read your messages - only recipients can decrypt them.
Device Authentication
Each device has unique cryptographic identity. Messages only decrypt on intended device.
Local Storage
Messages stored encrypted on your device. History persists across app restarts.
Troubleshooting
Can't Send Messages
- Check internet connection
- Verify recipient is online
- Check if you're blocked
- Restart Stealth app
Not Receiving Messages
- Check internet connection
- Verify notifications enabled
- Check sender has correct Device ID
- Restart app
Contact Not Appearing
- Verify correct Device ID entered
- Check if contact added you back
- Refresh contacts list
- Remove and re-add contact
Media Not Sending
- Check file size (large files take time)
- Verify stable internet connection
- Check available storage space
- Try smaller file first
