Stealth Transfer
Stealth Transfer for Android is encrypted device-to-device file sharing with short transfer keys. Send any file to another Stealth user with no email, no link, and no signup.
How It Works
- You generate (or reuse) an 8-character alphanumeric transfer key.
- The recipient enters your key in their Stealth Transfer screen.
- You select files and tap Send. They upload through the Stealth transfer relay.
- The recipient gets an incoming-transfer prompt and accepts or declines.
- Files download to the recipient's Downloads folder or a custom location.
The transfer relay only forwards data. Transfer keys are short-lived and rotate (or persist) based on your settings.
Sending Files
- Pick files from internal storage, SD card, photos, or any Storage Access Framework provider
- Send entire folders with subfolders and original structure preserved
- Optional message attached to the transfer that the recipient sees in the prompt
- Per-transfer expiration so unaccepted files do not linger on the relay
Receiving Files
- Tap Check for Files to poll the relay immediately
- Background polling so you get notifications even when Stealth is not open
- Auto-accept toggle for trusted senders
- Choose download folder per transfer or set a default
Sharing With Other Apps
Stealth Transfer plugs into the Android Share sheet. From any app (Photos, Files, Browse, etc.) tap Share → Stealth Transfer to attach the selected items to a new outgoing transfer.
Settings
| New key each session | Rotates your transfer key on every launch |
| Auto-accept | Skips the accept prompt for trusted environments |
| Notifications | System notification when a transfer arrives |
| Download folder | Where accepted files are saved |
| Background polling | Check for new transfers when the app is closed |
Why Use Stealth Transfer
No file size limits. Send phone backups or video files without splitting them up.
No third-party servers. The Stealth relay only forwards encrypted blobs.
Cross-platform. Same transfer keys work between Android and Stealth on Windows.
