Cast to TV
Stealth Browse can cast playing video and detected media on the current page to any Chromecast-compatible device on your local network using Google's default media receiver.
Casting from a Page
- Make sure the cast target (Chromecast, Google TV, smart TV with Cast) is on the same Wi-Fi network as your phone.
- Open the browser menu while a video page is loaded and tap Cast.
- Pick your device from the chooser dialog.
- Playback starts on the TV. Use the system Cast notification or Quick Settings tile to control playback.
What can be cast
| Currently playing <video> | The first playing video element on the page (most embedded players) |
| YouTube | Direct stream URL resolved by the built-in YouTube extractor |
| Direct media URLs | Detected via the page Media Extractor (HLS .m3u8, DASH .mpd, MP4, WebM) |
What can't be cast
- Blob URLs / DRM-protected streams - Widevine and similar protections block direct casting.
- data: URLs - Chromecast can't reach an in-memory media stream.
- Sites that detect Cast and block it (some streaming services).
Troubleshooting
- No devices listed: Confirm the device is on the same Wi-Fi network and that the network allows multicast / mDNS.
- "No castable media on this page": Start the video first - the cast handler resolves the currently playing source.
- Playback fails on TV: The stream may require headers or cookies that Chromecast can't replay. Try opening the file in another player or downloading it instead.
