Performance

Optimize browser speed and reduce data usage for faster, more efficient browsing.

Data Saver

Reduce data usage by compressing images and deferring non-essential resources.

  • Default: Off
  • Effect: Images are loaded at lower quality, saving bandwidth
  • Best for: Slow connections, limited data plans
  • Trade-off: Slightly lower image quality

What Data Saver Does

  • Compresses images before downloading
  • Defers loading of non-critical resources
  • Reduces video quality on autoplay
  • Blocks large background downloads

Lazy Image Loading

Load images only when they're about to be viewed (scrolled into the viewport).

  • Default: Off
  • Effect: Images below the fold don't load until you scroll to them
  • Benefit: Faster initial page load, less data usage
  • Trade-off: Brief loading delay when scrolling to images

Hardware Acceleration

Use GPU acceleration for rendering web content.

  • Default: On
  • Effect: Smoother scrolling and animations
  • Benefit: Better performance on graphics-heavy sites
  • Trade-off: May cause issues on some older devices
Note: If you experience display glitches or crashes, try disabling hardware acceleration.

Auto Picture-in-Picture for Video

Automatically enter Picture-in-Picture mode when navigating away from a page with playing video.

  • Default: Off
  • Effect: Video continues in floating window while you browse
  • Works with: YouTube, Vimeo, and most HTML5 video players
  • Control: Tap the PiP window to expand or close
