Privacy & Security

Open Settings → Privacy & Security, or go to stealth://settings and pick that section. These controls apply to every site unless you override them from the Stealth logo on a particular page. Changing a default here does not wipe per-site exceptions you already set.

Delete browsing data

Pick what to remove. Sizes update from data currently stored on this device.

Browsing history Pages you visited in Stealth Browse. Default selected.
Cookies and other site data Sign-in state, site preferences, and local storage. Default selected.
Cached images and files Temporary files used to load pages faster. Default selected.
Download history The list of files you downloaded. Does not delete the files themselves. Off by default.
Download data Export the selected data instead of deleting it.
Delete browsing data Wipes the checked items from this profile.

Stealth defaults

Show the number of blocked items on the Stealth icon On by default. The logo badge is the live blocked count for the current page.
Block trackers and ads On by default. Blocks trackers, page ads, hover ads, age-gate popups, and video ads where applicable.
Upgrade connections to HTTPS On by default. Uses a secure connection when one is available.
Block scripts Off by default. Blocks JavaScript on websites. Except a site in Site Permissions if it will not load.
Block fingerprinting On by default. Stops canvas, WebGL, and related fingerprinting.
Block audio fingerprinting On by default. Stops hidden WebAudio hashes and keeps silent audio graphs from grabbing Bluetooth headphones.
Block cookies Off by default. Prevents websites from storing cookies at all.
Block Cookie Popup(s) On by default. Hides cookie consent banners.
Forget me when I close this site Off by default. Clears cookies and other site data when you close a site.
Broken site contact email Optional. Stored for future broken-site reports if you fill it in.
Allow element blocking in private windows Off by default. Stealth Block Elements in private windows. Elements blocked there are also blocked in normal windows.

Content filtering

Enable custom filters that block regional and language-specific trackers and Annoyances is on by default. That adds regional tracker lists, language-specific tracker lists, and common webpage annoyances on top of the main block lists.

HTTPS and DNS

Secure DNS Off by default. Turns on DNS over HTTPS. When you enable it, pick a provider: Cloudflare (1.1.1.1), Google (8.8.8.8), Quad9, OpenDNS, AdGuard DNS, Mullvad DNS, or System resolver (auto-upgrade).

Cookie and storage

Block Third-Party Cookies On by default. Blocks cookies from cross-site trackers and advertisers.
Cookie Behavior Allow All Cookies, Block Third-Party Only (default), Block All Cookies, or Session Cookies Only.
Clear Cookies on Exit Off by default. Deletes all cookies when the browser closes.
Block Local Storage Off by default. Stops websites from storing data locally.

Security

Safe Browsing On by default. Dangerous sites hit an interstitial instead of the page.
Safe Browsing mode Standard (default), Enhanced protection, or No protection.
Scan page links Off by default. Corner safety widget plus a toolbar button next to Downloads. Risky links raise a red ticker when check marks are hidden.
Fingerprint randomization Off by default. Randomizes fingerprint values on each visit so sites see a different profile instead of a hard block.

Site Permissions has its own page. The Privacy page has a link that jumps there.

Privacy controls

WebRTC IP handling policy Default, Default public and private interfaces, Default public interface only, or Disable non-proxied UDP (default). Disable non-proxied UDP is the most private and is what you want with VPN or a proxy.
Use Google services for push messaging Off by default.
Auto-redirect AMP pages On by default. Prefer publisher URLs instead of AMP copies.
Auto-redirect tracking URLs On by default. Bypasses top-level redirect tracking URLs.
Wayback Machine integration On by default. Suggests archived copies when a page returns 404. Pairs with the Wayback Look PowerUp.
Reduce language fingerprint On by default. Shrinks how much sites can learn from language headers.
Stealth Translate On by default. Built-in page translation.
Offer to translate pages On by default. Shows the translate bar when the page language differs from your target.
Translate pages into this language Target language. English is the default. Dozens of other languages are in the list.
Block Microsoft Recall Opt-in. Stops Windows Recall from screenshotting Stealth Browse tabs.
Do Not Track Off by default. Sites decide whether to honor the header.
Per-site pause: Click the Stealth logo on a page to pause protection for 15 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, until restart, always, or a custom duration. Always-pause is for sites that cannot function with blocking.
