Tabs & Windows
Tabs sit in the titlebar. Group them, color them, split two side by side, show them vertically, or tear one into its own window without reloading the page.
Everyday actions
| New tab | Ctrl+T or the + button. Option to switch to it immediately. |
| Close | Ctrl+W, the tab X, or middle-click if enabled. Confirm-close when many tabs are open is optional. |
| Incognito | Ctrl+Shift+N. Private tabs do not write history. |
| Reopen | Ctrl+Shift+T restores closed tabs and can restore a whole closed window. |
| Pin / mute / duplicate | Tab context menu. Pinned tabs sit compact on the left. |
| Color | Set a tab color, or always use that color for this site. |
Tab groups
Create a group, name it, pick a color, collapse it. Pin a group to the bookmarks bar. Restore groups after restart if that Appearance option is on. Press F2 on a group to rename it.
Split view and tear-out
Split view puts two tabs side by side in one window. Move to new window tears the tab out without reloading the page.
Strip options
In Appearance: vertical vs horizontal, left/center/right alignment, longer tabs, min width, scroll buttons, hover card, memory-on-hover, inactive dimming, hide close buttons, middle-click close.
