UI Overview

Stealth Main Window

Stealth's interface is designed for simplicity while providing access to powerful features. This guide walks through each interface element so you know exactly what everything does.

Main Window

The main window is what you see when opening Stealth. It's divided into three main areas:

Title Bar

The top bar contains window controls and quick access buttons. You can drag here to move the window. The minimize, maximize, and close buttons work as expected.

Connection Display

The center of the window shows your connection status through a shield icon. When connected, the shield is purple and animated. When disconnected, it's gray.

Below the shield, you'll see:

  • Your current IP address (VPN IP when connected, real IP when not) - if enabled in settings
  • Connection status text

IP Address Display

The IP address display can be toggled on or off in Settings → Appearance → Show IP Address. When enabled, it shows your current IP address below the shield icon.

Hover over the IP address to see the Protection Chain tooltip. This shows the complete path your traffic takes through different encryption layers:

  • Raw IP - Your original ISP-assigned IP address
  • WARP IP - IP after WARP encryption (if WARP is enabled)
  • Tor Entry IP - Tor entry node IP (if Tor is enabled)
  • Tor Exit IP - Tor exit node IP (if Tor is enabled)
  • VPN IP - Final VPN server IP (if VPN is connected)

The tooltip displays only the layers that are currently active. For example, if only VPN is connected, you'll see Raw IP → VPN IP. If WARP and VPN are both active, you'll see Raw IP → WARP IP → VPN IP.

The Protection Chain helps you understand exactly how your traffic is being routed and which layers of encryption are protecting your connection.

Connect Button

The large button below the status display toggles your VPN connection. Click once to connect, click again to disconnect.

VPN Readiness Bar

Before connecting, a readiness bar appears above the connect button showing the status of VPN prerequisites. Four indicators show:

DriverVPN driver and dependencies are installed correctly
AdapterNetwork adapter is ready or will be created on connect
ConflictsNo conflicting VPN software or proxy settings detected
ServerNetwork connectivity to VPN servers is available

Each indicator displays green (good), yellow (warning), or red (error) status. Hover over any indicator to see detailed information. The readiness bar automatically hides when VPN connects successfully.

Right-click the readiness bar to send an automatic diagnostic report if you're experiencing connection issues.
